is job searching getting you down?
Too many job seekers describe their experience as lonely, long, and confidence-sapping.
The average job search can take up to 6 months, and finding a job you love can be even harder:
almost 70% of US employees are not engaged -- or are actively disengaged -- at work.
It doesn't have to be this way.
What we do
We provide free tactical resources on our blog and one-on-one coaching for job seekers interested in the structure, actionable feedback and step-by-step guidance we've found drives the most effective job search process. We're also piloting our 9-week online course, Land Your Dream Job, this fall.
Find it: Our Career Direction Diagnostic and exercises help you figure out the right career path and next step for you.
Land it: Most job search resources share tips on what-not-to-do or the least-common-denominator action required. But job seekers have told us what they really need is concrete, step-by-step guidance on how to tailor your professional brand, build relationships into your dream companies, nail your interviews, and land the offer.
Love it: Once you've received an offer, it's time to negotiate salary and make sure you choose a job you're set up to love. Even then, loving your job is active labor. It takes clear goals, intentional action, self-awareness, and relationship-building expertise that we help you put into practice.
Whether you're interested in a new position, transitioning to a new industry, or moving up in your current organization, we're here to help you take that next step.

At LinkedIn, I worked with experts to create data-driven training programs, and was inspired by the impact of step-by-step guidance on job seekers' confidence and results. I founded Next Step Careers to carry this mission forward.
Small steps in the right direction can have profound results.
